Education: Ph.D., Indiana University M.A., Missouri State University B.S.Ed., Missouri State University-- Rod Taylor teaches various courses focused on modernism, postmodernism, music, and education in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric at Stanford. His research in literature concerns images of education in modernist literature, and his research in rhetoric concerns the use of performance in the teaching of argumentative speaking and writing, and he is currently working on popular press book that will examine music in the postmodern era. He is a monthly writer for Bass Player Magazine and enjoys playing bass with various artists and friends as much as his academic schedule will allow. Rod and his wife, Kristen, are the Resident Fellows of Robinson House, an upper class dorm located in Sterling Quad, where they provide periodic educational programming that connects to their academic research and personal interest.
