Personal bio
Patricia Blessing received her Ph.D. in Art and Archaeology from Princeton University in 2012. Her forthcoming book, Rebuilding Anatolia after the Mongol Conquest: Islamic Architecture in the Lands of Rūm, 1240-1330 investigates the relationship between patronage, architecture, and style in the context of trans-imperial networks stretching from Anatolia to Central Asia. In addition to her expertise in art history, Blessing has worked on archaeological excavations in Syria, Uzbekistan, and Turkey.
