John Moalli

Personal bio
John received his BS from Northeastern in Structural Engineering and his Sc.D from MIT in Polymers. John is widely recognized as an expert in failure analysis of polymers and composite materials in consumer, recreational, medical and aerospace applications. John teaches a course in Chemical Engineering that explores engineering design through examination of historical engineering failures. The class includes topics that are not often taught in typical design courses, including risk analysis and use of large scale databases. John is an active pilot and also enjoys almost anything outdoors.
