Personal bio
Anne Pollok received her dr. phil. at the University of Halle, Germany, in 2007. She worked as an Instructor for Philosophy at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, in 2007/08. After a year of research as a postdoctoral fellow of the Leo Baeck Fellowship Programme (sponsored by the German National Academic Foundation) in 2008/09, she joined the Introduction to the Humanities program (IHUM) at Stanford in fall 2009. When not tangled up in endless thoughts about the "long 18th century", she enjoys running, hiking, swimming and opulent cooking.
