Personal bio
Dr. Robinson is a historian, writer, poet, and editor. Currently she works as a content developer for an innovative high school-level world history curriculum, and teaches at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Sonoma State University. She holds a PhD from Stanford, an MA in History and Anthropology from University College London, and a BA from Princeton. Her teaching and research interests include: World History, British Imperial History, Comparative Colonialisms, Women's Movements in Historical Context, History of Humanitarianism, Migration, Citizenship and Belonging, Thinking Through Categories of Exclusion, Intersectional Feminism, Literature and History She also served as Research Director for The Insular Empire: America in the Marianas, a public television documentary, which aired on PBS nationwide and is now included in the Zinn Education Project'™s list of recommended Teaching Materials.
