Adam Lebovitz

Personal bio
Adam Lebovitz is a legal historian, specializing in the constitutional ideas of the late eighteenth century in America, Britain, and France. He holds a doctorate and a law degree from Harvard. Prior to coming to Stanford, he was an assistant professor in the history of political thought at the University of Cambridge and previously served as a research fellow at Trinity Hall, the Harvard Law School, and the Max Planck Institute for Legal Theory. His research has been published, or is forthcoming, in venues such as the William and Mary Quarterly, the American Journal of Legal History, and the Cambridge History of Rights. His first book, on the circulation and transformation of constitutional ideas in the American and French Revolutions, will be published in 2024.
