Personal bio
Jason O. Watson is the Chief Information Officer at Stanford Law School and a Certified Flight Instructor. His FAA instructor certifications include Flight Instructor: Airplane Single Engine (CFI), Instrument Airplane (CFII); Ground Instructor: Advanced (AGI) and Instrument (IGI). Jason enjoys providing flight and ground instruction part-time at Advantage Aviation at the Palo Alto airport (KPAO). He holds a Commercial Pilot (Airplane Single Engine Land; Instrument Airplane) certificate with Airplane Single Engine Sea private pilot privileges as well as a Remote Pilot: Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) certificate. He received an M.B.A. degree from George Mason University and a B.A. in cognitive science from the University of Virginia. Jason's flying adventures have taken him to remote locations across the world -- including to introduce the joy of flight to his young daughters; to photograph military aircraft in low-level training operations; to run a marathon when commercial air travel was impractical; or to explore places only accessible by small plane.
