Phil. and Ph.D. in Biology, Yale University; NIH postdoctoral fellow in Biochemistry, Univ. of Georgia Professional: Assistant then associate professor Washington University, St. Louis; Associate then full professor Stanford University Biology Dept. Research: Cell fate specification in developing maize anthers. Activation of insertion transposition of MuDR/Mu transposons in pre-meiotic cells. Hobbies: Gardening (especially dahlias), sports, reading (22 year member of a book club), travel to Italy and Mexico
