Personal bio
Patience Young is Curator for Education at the Cantor Arts Center, where she teaches and coordinates programs and resources for Stanford students, faculty, and staff. Prior to coming to Stanford in 1995, she was Curator of Education at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Young holds a B.A. in art history (Drew University), an M.A. in art history/museum practices (The George Washington University), and a certificate in management of cultural institutions. On campus she has served as an advisor to the Institute for Diversity in the Arts and the School of Medicine's Arts & Humanities program; sits on review panels for Fulbright Fellowship applicants; and is active with various campus endeavors including SiCa,the PWR and I-HUM programs, and the United Nations Association Film Festival.
