Personal bio
Hongjie Dai received his Bachelors degree from Tsinghua University, his Masters degree from Columbia University in 1991, and his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1994. After postdoctoral work with Richard E. Smalley at Rice University, in 1997, he joined the faculty of the Chemistry Department at Stanford University where he is currently the Jackson-Wood Professor of Chemistry. Besides research in nanoscience and teaching undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses, Hongjie enjoys traveling, hiking and basketball. |
