Personal bio
I was born in l'Escala, a little fisherman's village an hour from Barcelona, close to the French border. When I was 23, I traveled my country with a donkey and wrote a book about it. Since then I've tried to spend my life traveling and writing, but in between I studied Philosophy, History, Greek Tragedy and Filmmaking, and I published three books about my travel experiences. I've lived in New York and LA, where I worked for the Sundance Institute. I'm interested in travel literature and autobiography. Currently I'm a sixth year PhD student in Iberian and Latin American Cultures at Stanford, where I also teach Spanish. My dissertation is on Salvador Dalà and his written work. |
