Personal bio
Patrick Chamorel is a Research Scholar at FSI's CDDRL. He teaches at the Stanford Center in Washington DC as well as on campus. As a political scientist, his focus is on Comparative American and European Politics as well as Transatlantic Relations. Previous to Stanford, he taught at UC Berkeley and Santa Cruz,George Washington U. and Claremont McKenna College. He was a Fellow at the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley, the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC, the Hoover Institution, as well as an APSA Congressional Fellow. Patrick Chamorel has written extensively on US and European Politics, most recently on Euro-skepticism in the US and presidential elections in France and the US. He regularly contributes to the media, including the WSJ, Die Welt, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and CNN. In the 1990s, he was a public official in the Ministry of Industry and the Prime Minister's Office in Paris. He is a graduate of Sciences-Po, where he obtained his PH.D. after doing research at Stanford and UC Berkeley. He also holds a Master in Public Law from Paris U.
