Personal bio
Cynthia Brosque received her Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Universidad ORT Uruguay in 2016. In 2019 she received a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and her Ph.D. in 2022 from Stanford University. Her doctoral research under Prof. Martin Fischer focused on construction robotics and automation. Her work has developed a Robotics Evaluation Framework through more than 20 industry case studies matching robots with General Contractors to help construction innovators determine the safety, quality, schedule, and cost impacts of deploying robots on their projects. She developed a new course in Construction Robotics in 2021 (CEE 327) at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. In 2023 she joined Stanford again as an Adjunct Lecturer to continue teaching this course. Her research interests include human-robot collaboration and design for robotic construction methods. Since August 2022 she has joined SafeAI, a start-up focusing on heavy-vehicle automation to increase productivity and safety in Construction and Mining.
