TAPS 173: Making Your Solo Show (TAPS 273)

Are you tired of the classics? Were you frustrated by casting choices in the past? Sometimes, you have to step away from the canon and create your own work. Do you have something to say about race, gender, ethnicity, nationalism, yourself, and the Other? Did you ever want to create and perform your own show but didn't know how to start? This is your chance. In this course, you will go through a series of workshops leading to the creation of your own performance. It is an all-in-one acting, writing, directing, and design class, leading to a festival of solo performances in the Nitery. At the end of the quarter, you will receive feedback about how to take your show on the road. Email instructor for enrollment permission: salsaber@stanford.edu.
