SUST 234: Systems Transformation and Business Model Innovation for Sustainable Impact

This hands-on experiential course aims to empower students with the knowledge, orientations, and skills to design and implement scalable, durable positive change that advances sustainability and intergenerational wellbeing for individuals, the planet and society. The course combines lectures, videos, readings, guest speakers, discussion sessions and group projects. Students will work in small teams to examine complex systems and engage in designing, prototyping, testing and iterating on specific solutions and interventions as well as business model innovations with the goal of delivering scalable and sustainable positive impact. The course will culminate in a proposal and final presentation prepared collaboratively by each project team.
