ME 161: Dynamic Systems, Vibrations and Control (ME 261)

Modeling, analysis, and measurement of mechanical and electromechanical dynamic systems. Numerical and closed form solutions of ordinary differential equations governing the behavior of single and multiple-degree-of-freedom systems. Stability, forcing, resonance, and control system design. Prerequisites: Ordinary differential equations ( CME 102 or MATH 53), linear algebra (determinants and solving linear equations, CME 104 or MATH 53 are recommended) and dynamics (E 15). Graduate students only enroll in 261.
