FEMGEN 303: Feminist and Sexuality Theories and Methods Across the Disciplines (FEMGEN 103)

This course provides an interdisciplinary introduction to feminist theories and methodologies, examining the diverse intellectual traditions that shape feminist, gender, and sexuality studies. Students will explore key feminist frameworks, including intersectionality, postcolonial feminism, queer theory, Black feminist theory, and ecofeminism, while engaging with critical questions about power, identity, knowledge production, and social justice. Students will develop an understanding of how feminist approaches shape academic inquiry and activism. Suitable for students across disciplines, this course fosters critical thinking and engagement with contemporary issues in gender and sexuality studies.
