CEE 262C: Modeling Environmental Flows

Introduction to numerical methods for modeling surface water flows in rivers, lakes, estuaries and the coastal ocean. Topics include stability and accuracy analysis, curvilinear and unstructured grids, implicit/explicit methods, transport and diffusion, shallow water equations, nonhydrostatic edquations, Navier-Stokes solvers, turbulence modeling. Prerequisites: CEE 262A, CME 206, or equivalent.
