Undergrads enroll in 167E.Using tools from elementary probability theory, we will examine Darwin's theory and contemporary evolutionary theory in connection with concepts such as fitness, adaptation, common ancestry, random mutation, gradualism, phylogenetic inference, taxonomy, race, and adaptationism. PREREQUISITES: A course in philosophy of science, epistemology, or evolutionary biology.
