CEE 214: Frontier Technology: Understanding and Preparing for Technology in the Next Economy (MED 114, MED 214, PSYC 114)

Technology advancements have profound impact in all walks of life. The next generation of leaders need to be well informed about the latest technological trends and equipped with a rich understanding about their applications in different industry sectors as well as their benefits and potential pitfalls. This interdisciplinary seminar is intended to introduce emerging technologies to students from a wide variety of disciplines. Topics covered include artificial intelligence and machine learning, additive manufacturing, telecommunications with 5G, AR/VR, and other key emerging technologies in society. The goal of the course is to equip students with a critical understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on individuals, business, and society.
