FILMPROD 106: Image and Sound: Filmmaking for the Digital Age

In these challenging times, traditional approaches to film production are not viable. However, these limitations can be a gift to filmmakers, pushing them to find new ways of approaching visual storytelling. In this course we will use these limitations to our creative advantage by learning the fundamentals of visual storytelling through the transformation of found media into compelling, challenging, and critically important films. Each student will acquire hands-on experience in directing, editing and sound design. No camera is required, students will work on a personal laptop or desktop computer that can run Adobe Premiere Pro, which will be provided.
