The course is the first in a three-quarter sequence of second-year language courses. It focuses on communicating in the language while students are developing more advanced skills in describing, narrating in all time frames, making comparisons and expressing opinions. The course uses written and oral materials within informal and formal contexts and emphasizes a deeper understanding of the Cherokee culture.
