Barbara Pitkin

Barbara Pitkin Barbara Pitkin received her B.A. in German language and literature from Carleton College and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago. Her research focuses on Christianity in early modern Europe, and she has published widely on John Calvin's theology and biblical interpretation. At Stanford, she teaches courses on the history and future of Christianity, the history of biblical interpretation, and women and religion.
