Jenna Rebecca Phillips

Jenna Rebecca Phillips Dr. Jenna Phillips is a medieval historian specializing in the social and cultural history of the High Middle Ages. She received her PhD in History from Princeton University. Her forthcoming book is entitled "Seductions of War and the Dream of Solace in Thirteenth-century France" (University of Pennsylvania Press). Her research investigates the place of oral traditions and music—the “viral media” of pre-modern Europe—while tracing the impact of new recording technologies such as manuscript production and music notation.
