
Evelin Sullivan received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Physics from the University of California, San Diego, in 1974 and 1976, respectively, and her Ph.D. in English and American Literature from UCSD in 1981. Evelin has been a Lecturer at the Technical Communications Program of Stanford's School of Engineering since 2002. She has published four novels and the nonfiction book The Concise Book of Lying. She also runs, lifts weights, and enjoys commuting on her Piaggio BV250 scooter. She is an avid student of the Baroque recorder, her motto being "Practice makes better--sometimes."
