Dan Edelstein

Dan Edelstein Dan Edelstein works for the most part on eighteenth-century France, with research interests at the crossroads of literature, history, and political theory. He has published books on the French Revolution and the Enlightenment. After attending high school and college in Geneva, Switzerland, he received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been at Stanford since 2004. In 2006, he received the Walter J. Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching, and in 2011 he was a recipient of the Dean's Distinguished Teaching Award.
