Bianxiao Cui

Bianxiao Cui I received a Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago under the supervision of Prof. Stuart Rice, working on dynamic heterogeneity and phase transition in colloidal liquid. After completing Ph.D., I worked as a postdoctoral scholar with Prof. Steven Chu on single molecule imaging of nerve growth factor signal transduction in neurons. I joined the faculty of Stanford University in 2008. My group and I focus on developing quantitative tools to study signal transduction in neurons. We are especially interested in developing sensitive imaging tools and engineering nanopillar structures to probe axonal transport process in neurons.
