Beth Levin

Beth Levin Beth Levin is the William H. Bonsall Professor in the Humanities at Stanford University. After receiving her Ph.D. from MIT in 1983, she had major responsibility for the MIT Lexicon Project (1983-1987) and taught in the Linguistics Department at Northwestern University (1987-1999), before joining the Stanford faculty in 1999. Her work investigates the linguistic representation of events and the grammatical devices English and other languages use to express events and their participants.
