Aliya Saperstein

Aliya Saperstein Professor Saperstein received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington and her Ph.D. in Sociology and Demography from the University of California-Berkeley. She previously taught at the University of Oregon before joining the Stanford faculty in 2011. Before entering graduate school, Saperstein worked as a reporter at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and the Riverside Press-Enterprise. She primarily covered (then) Pac-10 football and men's and women's basketball.
