Personal bio
Tania D. Mitchell received her doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2005. Her teaching and research focuses on diversity in higher education, civic and leadership development, community engagement and the pedagogy, philosophy and practice of service-learning. At Stanford, Tania is the Associate Director for Undergraduate Studies and Director of Service Learning in the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. She also serves as a Resident Fellow in Junipero, an all-freshman residence on campus. Prior to joining Stanford in 2007, Tania served on the faculty of California State University Monterey Bay. |
