Personal bio
Rafe Mazzeo received his B.S. and PhD in Mathematics from MIT, and immediately moved to Stanford, where he has been on the faculty since 1986. Rafe works in the field of geometric analysis and partial differential equations, and is particularly interested in analysis on stratified spaces. He was chair of the Department of Mathematics from 2007 - 2010. He is a cofounder of SUMaC, the Stanford University Math Camp, and was named in January 2010 as the faculty director of EPGY, which will soon be renamed Stanford PreCollegiate Studies (SPCS).
