Personal bio
Jeffrey Pfeffer is the Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior in the Graduate School of Business where has taught since 1979. Prior to coming to Stanford, Pfeffer taught at the University of Illinois and the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a visiting professor at London Business School, Singapore Management University, IESE, and Harvard Business School. Pfeffer is the author or co-author of 13 books including The Knowing-Doing Gap, The Human Equation: Building Profits by Putting People First, and his most recent book, Power: Why Some People Have It--and Others Don't, as well as more than 120 articles and book chapters. He has given seminars in 34 countries around the world and served on several for-profit and non-profit boards.
