Personal bio
Mary Beth Mudgett received her Bachelors degree in Biochemistry in 1985 from Ithaca College and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UCLA in 1989 working under the mentorship of Professor Steven Clarke. Mary Beth then worked with Professor Brian Staskawicz as a Post-doctoral Scholar from 1996-2001. She joined the Stanford faculty in 2002. Mary Beth studies mechanisms of microbial pathogenesis and plant immunity. She also enjoys traveling and exploring nature with her family. Currently teaching
