Personal bio
Michaela Hulstyn received her Bachelors degrees in French and Comparative Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2010. She is presently a doctoral student at Stanford in the Department of French, and focuses on the representation of altered states and the concept of selfhood in 20th century narratives. She serves as the Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Approaches to Consciousness workshop, and is a Graduate Theme Affiliate for the Maison Française.
