Marc Theeuwes is a Consulting Associate Professor in Stanford Universityâ??s School of Engineering Design group. He has 20 years of experience in engineering, venture investing, and management working with Fortune 500 and private corporations. He has received numerous awards for academic and business excellence and today lives and works in the Bay Area. His past responsibilities have included Venture Partner, Vice President Corporate Development, Director of Engineering and Operations, Director of Business Development, Director Mobile Products, and Senior Product Manager. He holds a Masters of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford, and was awarded an AIM fellowship for academic achievement and the California Microwave Award from the department of Electrical Engineering. Marc also holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, a BS in Biochemistry and BA in Fine Arts from the University of California at Davis, and an AS in Computer Science. He has been a member of IEEE, IDSA, ASME and the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Marc is the author of â??Make It Big: Crossing the Entrepreneurâ??s Gapâ?? University Publishers, 2010, 2011, a comprehensive textbook on entrepreneurial design activities for product engineers.
