Carrie Lee is a second-year graduate student at Stanford University pursuing a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.A. in Economics. Her research interests focus on the relationships between development, insurgency, and post-conflict reconstruction, particularly in the Middle East and South Asia. Her work currently explores the varied effects of the surge and reconstruction funding on counterinsurgency and development outcomes in Iraq and their implications for U.S. foreign policy.
