Personal bio
https://profiles.stanford.edu/danish-kurani Architect and urban designer Danish Kurani is the founder of design firm Kurani (www.kurani.us) and Lecturer at the Stanford School of Engineering. Since 2011, global leaders such as the Gates Foundation, NYC Department of Education, and Google have relied on Kurani to design education spaces for populations battling social and academic inequalities. In this work, he witnessed how the process of erecting a building is still painful and full of pitfalls. Kurani is now radically rethinking how buildings are made. His research is advancing the field toward what he calls "Exponential Architecture, a new era of architecture where we focus on satisfying the needs of all 7-billion people by making buildings exponentially better, faster, and cheaper." Kurani has been featured in TED, World Economic Forum, Business Insider, NPR, Fast Company, and other international media. |
