Personal bio
Jose David Saldivar received his BA in the Literature Major (Combined English and Spanish Literature) from Yale University in 1977 and his Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from Stanford University in 1983. Jose David was the Class of 1942 Professor of Ethnic Studies and English at UC, Berkeley before joining the Stanford faculty in January 2010.
