Personal bio
Henry Breitrose is Professor of Communication Emeritus. He earned his BA in History and English at the University of Wisconsin in 1958, his MA in Film at Northwestern in 1959, and his Ph.D in Communication from Stanford in 1966. He founded the Graduate Program in Documentary Film and Video at Stanford, now located in the Department of Art and Art History, and taught a variety of film studies and film production courses until his retirement. He still teaches an undergraduate class and consults with graduate students on an irregular basis.
