Personal bio
I was a Stanford Medical Student, Class of 1997. I had a great experience at Stanford and understand the curriculum and the specific educational needs and tools that Stanford students need to be successful in applying for residency and the Match. My tutorial focuses on surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, microsurgery of the entire body (head and neck, face, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities). I take care of patients with cancer, trauma, and also cosmetic issues. I create a personalized tutorial/ directed reading for students based upon his/her interests, background, experience, and career goals. Tutorials can have varying levels of time commitment (ex. weekly) depending upon the students schedule, and can be easily performed on-line and over Zoom conferencing. Students can also come to the OR, clinics, and wards to get first hand exposure and experience of life as an academic plastic surgeon.
