Personal bio
Laura Frost specializes in modernist literature and gender and sexuality studies. Formerly a professor of literature at Yale and The New School (NYC), she is the author of The Problem With Pleasure: Modernism and Its Discontents (Columbia University Press), and Sex Drives: Fantasies of Fascism in Literary Modernism (Cornell University Press), and many articles on modernist literature and culture, gender and sexuality, and cultural production related to 9/11. Her criticism and journalism have appeared in publications including The Los Angeles Review of Books, LA Times, Bookforum, San Francisco Chronicle, Quartz, Publishers Weekly, American Prospect, and the Times Higher Education (UK). Currently Archives Director at the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco, she is working on a book about female sexuality. ****SPRING COURSE: CONSENT CULTURE AND #METOO (English 230).
