Dante Beatrice Pauwels
Personal bio
Dante is an award-winning designer and entrepreneur, working in both branding, product, and interaction design. She is the founder of Dante Beatrix (now BeatrixNY), Pop-Up, (a home accessories company), and co-founder of recently launched Unplugged Goods (new friends for technology). Dante has designed products for Martha Stewart, and Pottery Barn Teen. She has created branding work for clients such as Timberland, Kodak and Keds through her work in advertising, where she worked as an associate creative director at Ogilvy & Mather. Most recently Dante has shifted her attention to interaction design, as the creative director for D-Rev.org. Two pieces of her work for Pop-Up are in the permanent collection at SFMOMA, her work for DanteBeatrix is the focus of 'Brand/Story' (a textbook for fashion merchandising students). Her advertising work has won a One Show Silver Pencil, and been published in Communication Arts and Luerzers Archive. Dante has a BA in architecture and a BFA in advertising design from Washington University in St. Louis, and her MFA in Product Design from Stanford University.
