Personal bio
Dr. Peters is an entrepreneur that focuses on developing companies that use science to solve high impact problems. He completely switched gears in his early 30's and went back to undergrad to study physics (original degree was in English Lit), completed his PhD with the McGehee group in Stanford's Materials Science department in his early 40's. After graduating, he co-founded Plant PV, a solar technology company that developed a breakthrough metallization paste that can be used on >85% of the global solar cells. The technology not only provides higher cell performance but removes a key problem experienced during module manufacturing. The company’s technology was acquired in early 2019 by a Japanese multinational and Dr. Peters continues to travel to Asia to assist in the implementation of the technology on production lines of some of the world's largest solar cell manufacturers.
