Personal bio
Michele Calos received her B.A. degree in Zoology from Oxford University in England and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard university, working with Walter Gilbert. Michele did postdoctoral research in Molecular Biology at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, before joining the faculty at Stanford in the Department of Genetics in the School of Medicine. Michele's lab applies their unique genome engineering techniques to make and modify induced pluripotent stem cells and use them in gene and cell therapy strategies for genetic diseases like muscular dystrophy. |
