Personal bio
William Berquist, MD graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor�??s degree in Molecular Biology in 1971 and completed medical school at Northwestern University in 1975. After pediatric residency he finished a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and remained on the faculty at U.C.L.A. until 1989. He moved to San Francisco and joined the faculty at California Pacific Medical Center and moved to Stanford University in 1995. He is currently Professor of Pediatrics (Gastroenterology) and Medical Director of the Pediatric Liver Transplant Service and the Ambulatory Procedure Unit at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Outside his faculty work, William�??s interests include swimming, golf, sailing, guitar and banjo playing.
