Personal bio
Alec is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology. He came to Stanford after completing his Bachelor's degree in political science and sociology at the University of Georgia. Broadly, his research relates to social psychology, gender, and inequalities in interpersonal interactions. He has worked on projects related to status, stigma, gender, sexuality, and emotion measurement. Alec's dissertation seeks to formulate, and provide empirical support for, a generalized theory of the interpersonal inequalities associated with status inconsistency.
