Personal bio
Patricia Alessandrini is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music, teaching and performing research in the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). As a composer/sound artist, her compositions and installations - often interactive and intermedial - have been presented in the Americas, Asia, Australia, and over 15 European countries. She performs research on embodied interaction, immersive audiovisual experience, and instrument design for inclusive performance, and is a member of the international advisory board of Share Music and Performing Arts, Sweden. She studied at the Conservatorio di Bologna, Conservatoire de Strasbourg and IRCAM, and holds PhDs from Princeton University and the Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC), Queens University, Belfast respectively.
