Its goals are to help students gain proficiency and confidence in the use of Japanese and to prepare them for their lifelong study.nnThis is a "students-driven, students-centered" course. The instructor will not "teach." Instead she is there to facilitate interactions and "help the students obtain their goals." Students are expected to come to class with their concrete goals as to what they want to do with their Japanese, and be ready to work hard in class to reach their goals.
