Slavlang 1A. Completes the first-year sequence in two rather than three quarters. Students develop first-year proficiency in Russian at an accelerated pace through intensive studying of basic Russian grammar and functional vocabulary and active language use. The course emphasis is put on practice in speaking, reading, and writing Russian through diverse materials and appropriate cultural contexts.
