CTS 101SI: Introduction to Cardiothoracic Surgery Skills

This course offers a unique opportunity for Medical Students to learn and practice skills essential to any surgical field. Students will work in teams of two (each serving as surgeon and assistant) to perform basic procedures on animal tissue. Students will practice suturing and knot-tying extensively, and will learn a new cardiothoracic surgical technique every week. The course will be held at the Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills and Education Center.
